Eager to know about Lucena position

One of the most interesting and the tricky position in chess is the Lucena position.
Observe this
1.Queening pawn is in the 7 th Rank.
2.The defending king is at a distance of one file
3. both the sides have a rook.
4.Whites rook is cutting off the defending king , which is a positive sign

The difficulty:- King cannot move out of its 8th rank square and hence the pawn cannot be promoted.

1. Push the king another file away.

2. Build a bridge! (Most Important Move.)

3. Zigzag your king behind the pawn in the same file.

4. Use your rook to complete the bridge!
