Can you think like a Grand Master
This was a recent game played by Anand and Ganguly at Tata steel tournament at 2018. Anand played with white pieces and resigned at move 38. Can you figure out why ?

Understanding Queen's gambit declined
This is one of the recent game played. Zero mistakes, zero blunder and just 14 centi pawn loss., which means white's game is close to a perfect game. Here Black declined the queen's gambit and played. Can you spot the mistakes he has made ?

Student’s Testimonials
I am K.Rathnakumar studying 5th std . One of my best friend told me about the chess. He was already learning chess with you sir. Then I also joined chess class. First I was not very much interested in chess. Then slowly I started learning chess and developed interest. There was saying from you sir that "NEVER GIVE UP". It was an inspiration for me to learn and show interest in chess. Then on I started playing tournament. First I used to lose few matches and then I used to feel bad. After that I started to win the tournaments. Then I thought about the words you used to say sir that more you lose matches you will learn the games and win. These words made me to learn chess am I am willing to play more tournaments. These were the encouraging words from Sadurangam GM chess academy and from you also master ..
Thank you!
I am Pravin R, I am studying in
7th Grade. I Started Playing Chess when I was 7 years old. Once in a while my
school announced a competition called 'Arranging The Chess Pieces' I do not
know anything about chess except it is a game. So I went to my Father and told
him about this competition. My father taught me how to arrange the chess pieces
and I also learned it but still I do not know how to play chess. After that
competition I was bit eager to learn how to play chess, So I asked my Father
about it he also taught me how to play chess. It took around 3 months to learn
it thoroughly but still I do no any tactics, strategies, opening names etc.. I
use to watch GM games simply for entertainment in youtube as my parents not
allow me to download any games which are Useless.
After few months a National Master in chess
came for rent in my apartment, He had a chess academy. My father asked me that
are you willing to go to chess coaching and i also agreed, So I joined in that
academy but in that academy all players were at above my level. The master in
was only focusing the national level
students. Whenever I enter into the class they always use to give only 'mate in
one' puzzles. So I got bored.
One Day in my school, one of my
best friend told the address of another chess class in which he was learning chess. I went to my
home and requested my father to join that chess class instead. My father also
agreed with it.
In that chess class all students
are weaker than me and I use to win all of them in few minutes. After few weeks
the master in that chess class gave me a large book called 'The Chess Course'
In which I learned tactics like pin, fork, deflection, piece value etc.. . It
took 1 year 5 months to complete that book for me.
But in this book only I learned tactics, still I do not any of the
opening names the only move I will play in the game is E4 or E5, after that I
went to my first District Level tournament and got 3/5 points but still I do
not win the prize. Then I went around 20 tournaments and only won 7 prizes.
After Few months the master of that chess class told to my mother to join me
any other chess academy as this chess class is only for beginners.
After few weeks I asked my father
to search any chess classes in online, he also searched and finally decided to
join Sadurangam GM Chess Academy, By entering this academy I learned lot of
information in chess such as Openings, Middle Game Strategies, End Game
strategies etc. and for one, Mr Subramanian pays close attention to all
students unlike other classes. They also conduct detailed analysis on
Grandmaster games. By joining this academy my chess skills were also improved a
lot.
Finally I like to thank my
parents who encouraged me a lot and also thanks to my chess coach Mr.
Subramanian, he motivates me a lot and also teaches lot of things. My Ambition
is to become future World Chess Champion
Thank You!!!!!
